The opportunity

The client envisioneda more inviting and characterful living and dining space—something that feltwarm, personal, and far from cold or impersonal. Our design approach focused onintroducing warmth, texture, and personality while retaining key pieces of theexisting furniture.

By layering invibrant, patterned rugs from West Elm, carefully selected furnishings, andcurated décor accessories, the space was transformed into a welcomingenvironment ideal for both relaxation and entertaining. The client's owncollection of original paintings added a meaningful and colourful focal point,enhancing the authenticity and charm of the room.

From Bare to Homley

The open-plan space previously felt empty, with only a few pieces of furniture scattered throughout. By rethinking the layout, improving circulation, and carefully placing new furnishings, we transformed it into a warm and inviting dining and living area. A new family sofa created the perfect spot for conversations, reading, or watching TV, while console tables and thoughtfully selected accessories added depth, character, and a homely feel to the room.
