Premier Inn Restaurant and Pub
The opportunity
In anticipation of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, this proposal reimagined Premier Inn Doha’s breakfast area as a dual-purpose venue: a welcoming breakfast space by day and a lively English-style pub by night. Inspired by The Wind in the Willows and the playful character of Mr. Toad, the design combined Victorian pub tradition with modern touches. Rich colours, wood panelling, brickwork, and copper cladding were paired with patterned tiles, bold wallpapers, and bespoke lighting to create a nostalgic yet contemporary atmosphere.

From Practical to Imaginative
Before, the space served as a dated breakfast area with a mainly practical layout and little design character. The proposal reimagined it as a vibrant, dual-purpose venue: a refreshed breakfast setting by day and a characterful English-style pub by night. Inspired by The Wind in the Willows and Mr. Toad’s whimsical spirit, the design layered traditional pub features with playful storytelling, transforming the once plain space into a lively, atmospheric destination for guests to enjoy.
