This modern kitchen project began with a clear and natural design vision from the client — to create a light, bright, and welcoming space that blended warm wood tones with clean white cabinetry. Working closely with the client and the kitchen retailer, Roberts Renovations provided design support from concept through completion, ensuring the final result was both beautiful and highly functional.
The completed kitchen features a calming, organic palette with thoughtful finishes, soft lighting, and a seamless layout designed for everyday living. Every element, from the cabinetry and countertop materials to the lighting design, was chosen to create balance and flow throughout the space.

Design Highlights
Tailored Extractor and Functional Layout
The extractor fan was installed and customised to suit the client’s height, ensuring everyday comfort and usability. This thoughtful adjustment enhances both practicality and enjoyment of the space, blending technical precision with a warm, inviting aesthetic. The layout around it remains open and balanced, keeping key features accessible without interrupting the clean modern design.
Bespoke Cabinetry and Soft LED Lighting
Bespoke cabinetry was designed with carefully selected finishes to complement the kitchen’s natural colour palette, balancing warm wood tones with crisp white surfaces. Discreet LED strip lighting was added beneath the upper cabinets to create a soft, sophisticated glow that enhances the texture and depth of the materials. The combination of custom joinery and ambient lighting brings warmth and refinement to the overall design.
Herringbone Tile and Subtle Texture
A herringbone-patterned backsplash in off-white tile adds timeless texture and visual depth to the kitchen. The soft tones work beautifully against the warm wood accents and white cabinetry, creating a balanced, layered look that feels elegant yet understated. This simple design detail brings character and craftsmanship to the overall composition.
